"Well I couldn't before, but I usually get sleepy when I read, so that's what I did. Guess I got a little too sleepy," Remiel said with an embarrassed chuckle. He had been starting to get off the couch when he heard what Angel said and was startled so much by it that he ended up falling off the couch. He quickly got up again, he hair sticking up in many direction because he had bedhead, and tried to gain his balance. He wasn't too graceful in the morning. "What? But why would you want to do that? Isn't that like...moving a step backwards when you're together?" He paused for a moment before adding,"Did I do something to upset you?"

Angel ignored the thump of Remiel hitting the ground, having a pretty good idea of exactly what had happened. You didn’t spend more than a hundred years knowing someone and not pick up a thing or two. She did, however, whirl around furiously at his first question. “Moving backwards?” she repeated with such shock and venom that it was surprising spit didn’t hit him. “Oh, thank you! All I want to do is move back to my own home and you automatically think it’s because…because you did something! I just want to sleep in my own bed, have quiet nights to myself, not feel the need to make out every single minute because you can’t keep your hands off me!” She glared at him, ignoring the sudden pop of the toaster as the second set of bread finished. “I just want to move back to my own home, is that so hard to understand?”
It was obvious this had been building up for a while in her mind. She had held it at bay because she got a break from Remiel at work. But ever so slowly, she had realized just how much she missed just being Angel, and not Remiel and Angel. She couldn’t remember the last time she spent hanging out with Sid without Remiel by her side. He was like an adorable T-shirt that she had worn until it was too shrunk to fit because she loved it so much.

Remiel just stood there, almost a little dumbfounded. HE had no idea where this had come from, but it had been clear that it must have been building up for a while. Honestly, ever since coming back from his seven year disappearance, he had spent as much time with Angel as possible, as well as the fact that even as a little kid he'd looked up to her, seeing as she was older, and had trailed around everywhere after her. Looking at it now, he could see where she was coming from, but he'd gotten so used to having her around it had just come as a shock, especially when she told him after just waking up in the morning.
This all took hardly any time to think through before he looked down at the floor, not wanting to see her glaring at him. "No...it's not. I'm sorry... I-I just...didn't really think through what you wanted I guess. If it makes you happy and it's what you want...then...yeah..." he said, trying to shrug it off. Honestly, this hadn't been a very good last night or morning for him at all, so he was ready to go see if the rest of the day would be any better. He ran a hand through his bedhead hair, mumbled something about going to get dressed and walked over to the bedroom, only the sound of a quiet click of the door as it closed sounding before he went about getting dressed.

Angel felt a pang of guilt as she watched Remiel walk back to his room and shut the door. If she’d been in a better mood, she might have noticed just how much he looked like a chastised puppy. As it was, when she yanked the toast out of the toaster, she almost broke it to crumbs, she was just that annoyed. She quickly ate the toast she had already slathered, leaving the rest for Remiel. Once she’d eaten, she went to the front closet and grabbed her backpack from among the paraphernalia stowed there. She started packing whatever was hers that wasn’t in the bedroom, being a little rougher with her possessions than usual. She couldn’t believe he had said they were moving backwards in their relationship. All she wanted was some space. It wasn’t like she wanted to break up with him. Honestly, that boy was an idiot.
Once she had found all of her socks, loose change, books, bits of paper, her toothbrush, and one of her bras, she headed to the bedroom and slipped inside, going straight for the dresser. She opened her drawer, feeling another pang of guilt at the thought that it was hers. But she wasn’t going to change her mind. She needed a change. She set her backpack down and grabbed an outfit at random, hardly noticing what she was picking. So when she started for the bathroom, she held a violently purple tanktop and her undergarments, but no pants.

Once Remiel had closed the door he realized what an idiot he was for answering what she had said like that. Although, to be fair, Angel should no he doesn't really think too much about what he's saying until he's woken up a bit and had breakfast in the morning, so right after he woke up wasn't exactly the perfect time to spring that on him. He banged his head on the wall a couple times, trying to knock some sense into his head, before he went to get dressed.
He had gotten his jeans and socks on and was just pulling his shirt over his head when Angel walked into the room. He backed off from her a bit when she came over to the dresser and watched quietly as she packed her things. He realized he should probably keep his mouth shut, even if it was to apologize, since Angel was so angry with him. He did however notice that she didn't grab a pair of pants. He quickly walked over to the dresser, grabbed a pair of her pants, and gently grabbed her wrist to get her attention. Wait, Ang...I think you'll need these," he spoke quietly to her, handing her the pants as well.

“What?” Angel snapped, ready to bite his head off. Then she saw the pants and looked down at the clothes she was already holding. “Oh, yeah,” she said, almost smiling despite herself. She took the pants from him and headed into the bathroom. A whole two minutes later, she reemerged, dressed. She crossed back to the dresser and resumed putting her things in her backpack. She certainly wasn’t going to apologize for anything. She didn’t feel that she’d done anything wrong. If anything, she felt it should have been him apologizing. Girls are funny like that. They think boys are to blame every time.

Remiel simply just nodded at what she said and stood there quietly as she disappeared into the bathroom. He looked around the room, already noticing how it looked a bit empty without some of Angel's things in it. When Angel reappeared from the bathroom he tried several times to say something, but he never spoke. He honestly didn't know what to say. It was just awkward enough only standing there, despite this being his own apartment. He decided that he should at least apologize for what he had first said that morning. "Ang...I'm sorry about what I said about moving backwards, I didn't mean to sound like that, it was still half asleep when I spoke...but I did mean it when I said do whatever would make you happy." He wasn't sure if he had just helped or worsened the situation, but at least he didn't just stand there stupidly and not say anything.
