I'm in a very HP mood atm, so I got a head start on this and editted both my profiles for Grace and Lena. XD If there's something one of the other Anorline rpers doesn't like about Grace's profile for whatever reason, tell me and I'll fix it. :P Mostly I just added some additional info near what was originally the end of her bio.
Name: Grace “Gracie” Wendy Anorline
Age: 13
Year: 3rd
Gender: Female
Nationality/Ethnicity: British
Appearance: Ariel Winter
Personality: Some days she is happy and friendly. She likes to goof around with her siblings and best friend when she’s in such a good mood. But Grace gets angry and frustrated easily when things don't go her way, so she can be prone to meltdowns. She is bright, even though it may not seem that way because she has so much trouble with spellwork. She is naturally curious and is loyal to her family and best friend.
Bio: Grace and her five siblings were sent to live with their grandfather after their parents Anne and Victor were tortured by dark wizards. So she wound up being raised mostly by her older sister Tatiana and the triplets. Or as much as three people who are two years older and one person who’s four years older can raise a kid. Candy was no help at all with her baby sister because she was only a year older than Grace. Grandpa Gregory did the best he could, but he was sick so he was bedridden often.
She was an annoying child, always wanting to be included in games even when she had no idea what was going on because of her hearing loss. As a child, she felt isolated from the triplets because they were all together and they could hear better than her. She felt closest to Tatiana because she was the one who made the most effort to hang out with her and didn’t get annoyed when Grace didn’t understand something. She didn’t get along so well with Candy, especially when they were younger because they both had to compete for attention. When Tatiana went away to Hogwarts, Grace was devastated. She locked herself up in her room for weeks and didn’t feel like playing games much.
When Tatiana came home for winter break, she noticed something was wrong immediately. Her sister, who had once been so outgoing and had constantly pestered the triplets and sometimes Candy, had now become a recluse. She became angry easily, and didn’t talk to the others like she once had. Mostly, she spent time on her own reading. Tatiana cornered her, and found out the simple truth: that her baby sister thought of her as her very best friend, and felt isolated from the triplets and Candy. Tatiana called a family meeting and told the other sibs that in no uncertain terms were they to abandon their youngest sibling. After that, things became better. Not perfect, but better. Grace spent more time with the triplets and occasionally with Candy and became closer to them all.
A month after Tatiana went back to Hogwarts, a woman moved in just down the street. This woman was Deaf. Sometimes, when she came home from work, Deaf people would be with her. Grace found herself fascinated by them, but was too shy to approach. It was the lady who wound up doing the approaching. She had gotten Grace’s grandfather’s mail by mistake and came over to return it. Their grandfather’s nurse was the one who answered the door. When the Deaf lady was there, she saw little Grace watching her from around the corner and waved. Grace waved back.
That was one of the days their Grandpa was feeling well enough to walk around. He happened upon the group as he was going to see what mischief the triplets had gotten themselves into that day. He knew the lady was Deaf because his grandchildren had told him often enough. Seeing Grace and the lady together gave him an idea. He had often pitied his youngest grandchild because she couldn’t hear as well as her siblings. So it was he, with the help of a piece of paper, who asked the lady if she could teach his granddaughter to sign. He offered to pay her a little with what money he had, but she refused the money, saying she had a job. She did, however, agree to teach Grace after work and on Sundays.
Grace started out slowly, but by the time she was eleven she could carry on entire conversations in sign with the lady, whose name was Francis. She still had to ask for clarification with signs and to ask for specific signs, but at least she finally had a way to have an easy two-way conversation with people. Well, Deaf people anyways. And hearing people who knew sign.
Grace discovered she had magic rather late in life. She thought she might even be a Squib, until one fateful day when she was eight. She was being bullied at the nearby playground because she was hard of hearing. All of the sudden, every girl bullying her was knocked into a mud puddle by a strong gust of wind. Grace was the only one left standing.
When Grace got her Hogwarts letter, she was ecstatic. And off she went, leaving poor Grandpa Gregory with just a nurse and the family niffler for company.
She quickly got frustrated, however. It wasn’t just that the magic was difficult to do. She often couldn’t understand the teachers, which was an old and yet very new experience for her. It was old because she had lost her hearing when she was a baby, so she’d been hard of hearing for most of her life. But it was new because she had been home-schooled. She had an easier time understanding her siblings since she had known them her whole life, but it wasn’t like any of them were in her classes with her. And to top it off, the people she wanted to make friends with were always talking a mile a minute. She told all this to Tatiana, still her closest sibling.
Tatiana decided to take action. Surely a magical school had information on how to cure or at least temporarily improve hearing? Eventually she found a potion listed in a book that fulfilled the second option. It wasn’t even that hard to make. She got permission, help, and ingredients from the Potions Master, and soon she had whipped up a batch for her baby sister. She gave it to her at breakfast one day.
After she drank it, Grace was so happy that she shouted ‘I CAN HEAR!’ And so she could indeed. The potion built up her confidence as a non-magical side effect, and she found herself not only willing, but
able to participate in conversations with people her own age. She soon made a friend, Lena Littlebury. Even though Lena could be a chatterbox sometimes, it was no problem for Grace of the Bat Ears.
Or at least, it wasn’t a problem at first. But pretty soon she discovered the drawbacks to her lovely potion. When it wore off after a few days, it left her ears ringing for an hour. And when she tried taking more of it too soon, her hearing became much stronger than it had the first time and her ears got very sore. In annoyance, she quit the potion for several weeks but quickly came to regret it. Her grades dropped in every class, even her best ones, and she could no longer communicate well with the people she had thought she was making friends with. Well, except for Lena, who seemed more than happy to overlook Grace’s hearing problems. Grace taught her some sign language when she was in a good mood and the two of them became close friends.
But Grace needed to be able to do well in classes. So, half-afraid and half-excited, she took the potion again after Tatiana added a little more bat fur to it so it would last longer. At the most, the potion would last five days. So, from then on, Grace took it every Monday morning. Then, when it wore off on Fridays, she had all weekend to let her ears rest. During the summer, she did not drink the potion unless she really wanted to.
And so her life went on.
House: Ravenclaw
Wand: Mahogany, phoenix tail feather, 15 inches, very sturdy.
Pets: Just the family pets - the niffler that stays at home and Hooters the owl. She likes Jumbie the cat, but the triplets get him most of the time because he’s technically theirs. She wants to get a cat of her own, but hasn’t got the money at the moment.
Boggart: The boggart would envelope her head and make her feel like she is totally deaf. To combat the boggart, her Riddikulus spell would turn it into a pair of fuzzy earmuffs shaped like Elmo from Sesame Street.
Patronus: She’s not very good at spell-casting, so it’ll be a while before she can do a proper Patronus. So for now, if she concentrated really hard, it’d be a see-through floppy-eared bunny.
Amortentia: chocolate-chip cookies that have just left the oven, ocean air, a brand new book
Broom: She rides a school-owned Cleansweep Six when the first-years aren’t using it.
Best Classes: Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures
Worst Classes: Transfiguration, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts
Other: Grace wears glasses for reading, but doesn’t need them for other activities.

Name: Lena Elisa Angel Littlebury
Age: 13
Year: 3rd
Gender: Female
Nationality/Ethnicity: British
Appearance: Chloe Grace Moretz
Personality: Lena will cry easily if people leave her, even if it's just for a vacation. It's not that she's clingy, it's simply that she doesn't want to lose anyone. Other than that, she is usually a happy person. She tries to be nice to people, but may talk about them behind their backs if she doesn't like them much. She is very excitable and exuberant, and will speak rather loudly and fast. She is fairly out-going and will talk to random people about whatever’s on her mind, even if they have never spoken before. She tends to exhibit bravado when discussing danger, but when actually confronted with it, she isn’t the bravest person in the world. She has the potential to be a very good student, but her attention is flighty, so she's only good at what she wants to be good at.
Bio: Although she is Muggleborn, the Hogwarts letter was not a surprise to her. You see, her biological parents lived next door to a wizarding family. When she was three years old, dark wizards came to their small town. Her parents and older brother were murdered, but before the wizards could finish off Lena herself, Raul, his girlfriend Marie, and Raul's sister Angel came crashing through a window and engaged in a duel to the death with those who had killed Lena's family. Angel was murdered when she wasn't able to dodge out of the way of the Killing Curse. Enraged, Marie and Raul killed every last one of the dark wizards. Then Marie collapsed on the ground weeping, and little Lena came crawling out from behind a sofa. She was crying too, and went over to the bodies of her parents.
Raul and Marie eventually managed to collect themselves enough to realize that the kid needed a home. Despite that they were both still fairly young – Marie was nineteen, Raul almost twenty – they decided to care for Lena for the time being. They did plan to take her to the Muggle authorities at some point, but both grew attached and chose to adopt her themselves. They gave her an additional middle name – Angel after Raul's sister.
Something factoring into Marie and Raul's decision to keep Lena was that she showed her magical abilities almost a year after her family's murder. She was perched in Marie's lap, on the way to Marie and Raul's wedding. As she sat there playing with Marie's hair, the wife-to-be realized that her hair was changing color. She didn't quite believe it at first, but then her mother nearly crashed the car into another car in front of them and turned around to ask her why her hair was electric blue. Marie looked in the mirror and saw that her mother was right. With a grin, her answer was this: "Little Lena wants my marriage to have as much good luck as possible." She talked Lena into letting go of her hair, changed it back to almost normal, but did leave a long strip of blue.
House: Ravenclaw
Wand: Willow, unicorn hair core, 11 ½ inches, rather whippy
Pet: She has a dog at home named Fergie, but obviously she can’t bring her to school.
Boggart: Dark wizards – would take the form of people in black cloaks wearing masks and shooting harmless rays of green light at her. The Riddikulus spell would turn them into people dressed in Stars Wars garb waving light sabers.
Patronus: A sedge warbler – a kind of marsh bird.
Amortentia: her favorite deodorant, the air the morning after a rainfall, hot melted cheese
Broom: None.
Best Classes: Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Muggle Studies
Worst Classes: Transfiguration, History of Magic
Other: Nothing I can think of.
