He frowned. Something was breaking into his concentration. He tried to ignore it, but the noise just got louder. With a sigh, he opened just one eye, keeping the other closed so he could still remain half in his dream-state. He didn’t want to stop the dream, not now, not when it was in such an interesting spot. “What?” he said in barely more than a whisper, worried speaking louder would distract him even more. Already, the images behind his closed left eye were breaking up. He shut the open eye so he could concentrate again. The images solidified.
“Open up!” a voice outside the door yelled.
He growled. Why couldn’t they leave him alone? Hadn’t they seen the ‘Do not Disturb’ sign?
Oh, wait. He didn’t have such a sign.
With a huff of exasperation, he climbed off the couch and made his way to the door blindly, both eyes still firmly closed. He was watching as some of his test subjects talked. Their conversation was way more interesting than the idiot outside the door.
It took him a minute to work out where the knob was. Knocking sounded impatiently from the other side. The dream fractured again. He scowled ferociously and solidified the visions once more. He wasn’t finished! His experiment couldn’t be stopped at this critical point. It was during the stage of grief that people could be convinced to commit suicide. He had wanted to see if the ‘sister’ of the deceased would do it, but that blasted kid had interrupted. Why he had even included her in the experiment, he had no idea. She was more nuisance than she was worth. Now his hopes were banking on the deceased’s best friend to jump off a cliff or something.
He finally managed to open the door, looking very like he was sleepwalking. “What?” he muttered, obviously irked.
He could hear four different people breathing outside his door, and at the same time he could hear two people talking in his head. He started to feel a headache coming on.
“Open your eyes, Mr. Abramson.”
“Doctor,” he corrected. “I can’t. I’m in the middle of a very delicate experiment.”
“Yeah, we know,” a different voice said. “That’s why we’re here, to interrupt it. Open up.” As his eyes were closed, he didn’t realize what was going to happen till it was too late. Someone quickly pinched his eyelids between their fingers and forced his eyes open. At once, the dream blurred, then vanished for good. He glared at the four standing before him. All of them were vampires, and all had the ready, wary look of people who had to deal with superhumans on a frequent basis.
“You just interrupted a very important experiment!” he shouted. “Now it’s ruined! Ruined!”
“That experiment was conducted without the knowledge of the experimentees,” a blonde woman replied coolly.
“That was the point! They were supposed to believe it! It wouldn’t work if I told them what I was doing!” His hands clenched.
That was a bad sign. Immediately, two vampires caught hold of his arms, twisting them behind his back.
“Isn’t there a doctor rule about doing no harm?” the blonde said to a teammate standing next to her, a man.
“Yeah. I think the association should consider revoking his license,” he answered, coming closer to Daton Abramson. “Mr. Abramson, have you released the experimentees? Are they waking up?”
He lifted his chin, his dark brows slanted together still. “I just told you I did.”
“Are they waking up?”
He allowed himself a small parting shot. “They’ll never wake up.”
---
What was going on? Why was the world suddenly spinning? Was there an earthquake? But the earth didn’t spin during a quake. It rocked. She was definitely spinning. She tried to put her hands up to her head, but it was almost like she didn’t have any hands.
Then just as suddenly as the swirling started, it stopped. She slowly leaned her head back against a comfortingly solid couch’s armrest. “Did you feel that?” she rasped.
“Ye – yeah.” Her friend cleared her throat. “What was that? It was almost like we got sucked into a tornado. That’d be a pretty damn big tornado, to reach all the way down here.”
She shrugged. I have as much idea as you do, she thought but didn’t say.
“Maybe we should go see a healer.”
She swayed. She was seeing pretty rainbows. Pretty rainbow funnels, all spinning around her. So pretty. She tried to reach up and touch them, but she couldn’t find her hands again. Not even her arms were there, seemingly.
“Syyy,” she heard her friend say faintly. Her mouth tried to move to ask her what the hell she was saying, but she couldn’t figure out where that was either. Wasn’t it supposed to be on her forehead? Between her eyes? It was all so confusing.
Her eyes refocused again. “Did you say something?” she asked as though nothing had happened.
“I was calling for you. I just felt it again. Did you?”
“Yes.” Their looks of confusion and fear mirrored each other.
“We definitely need a healer.”
She shook her head. She couldn’t go back there. She wouldn’t.
“We don’t have to go to the infirmary. I bet some are at lunch right now. Come on, get up. Let’s go before it happens again. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like that spinning sensation. Better make sure we’re not going crazy or getting sick. Or being drugged.” Her friend bent over her. “Come on, up you get.”
Was her face getting blurry? She blinked, but couldn’t make her look any clearer.
Everything went black.

Some time had passed since Remiel had been keeping himself locked away in his room. After having spent quite some time keeping to himself, being emotionless and such, but after a while, he had become filled with anger. He didn’t feel anything else but anger towards the super humans, because if it wasn’t for them, then they wouldn’t have had to be hiding down here in the first place. So, as soon as he’d decided that, he began focusing himself on training, and only training, to go and bring down as many superhumans as possible. This was a pretty stupid and wreckless move on his part, since he wasn’t even a full vampire and lacked in strength, speed, and just plain common sense at the moment, since all of that had been blotted out by his anger.
Right now he was currently in the simulation room, constantly training and working on his fighting skills, basically wearing himself out down to the bone, not that he cared, he just wanted to get good enough to be able to take down superhumans, despite how exhausted it made him. He knew his mother was absolutely worried sick about him and was doing everything in her power to stop this madness that had overtook him, but he just didn’t have it in himself to let go of the anger that fueled his rage. When he was around other’s, he was completely emotionless and blank, barely speaking at all, but when training and fighting, he let everything go. Kiara had been watching him train again and, watching as he almost stumbled to the ground in exhaustion she quickly hurried into the room, going to attempt to talk some sense into him once again. Remiel had caught himself when he stumbled, but he almost hadn’t been able to. He saw his mother running towards him and he quickly put all his anger away, not wanting to take it out on her, and his look became an emotionless one.
Kiara called his name out worriedly and Remiel had looked down at her, already knowing what she was going to say to him, since she’d been saying it since the day he started to not care anymore. “Remiel…Rem you need to snap out of this. I know you’re hurting, but this isn’t what Angel would have wanted you to do,” she pleaded with him, trying to make him listen to her.
“Yeah, well Angel wouldn’t have wanted all that happened to her to happen, but it did,” he answered, surprisingly with a slight edge to his tone.
The edge grabbed Kiara’s attention, since this was the first time he’d had any sort of emotion in his voice since what had happened. Maybe she was starting to get through to him. “No one wanted that to happen, but that doesn’t mean that she’d want you to do this to yourself. Look at yourself, Remiel! I barely even recognize you anymore. You’re making everyone around you worried sick. You still have people that care for and love you. Please! Listen to me and…and stop this,” she had started out with her tone accusing and worried, but by the end her tone got rather quiet and desperate as well.
Remiel had already knew all that his mother had told him, but he refused to listen to any sense or go back to anything or normality, because it reminded him of when Angel had still been around. “Sorry, Mum, but there is no coming back from this,” he said as he stormed out of the simulation area, up to where he’d stay alone in his room again.
Kiara felt like she had failed him when his words that he spoke hit her. She reached out a hand to grab his arm to stop him, but he had already moved out of her reach. She just didn’t know what to do to make everything normal…to bring back her Remiel again. She had tried everything, but he still refused to listen to reason. She brushed away the tears that were running down her cheeks as she walked out of the simulation area, not knowing what to do now since she had failed.
--
Remiel had stormed off to his room for a while, but he found that suddenly all the emotions inside of him were stirring and that he couldn’t just sit there. He needed to do something…he wanted to take action, and now. He quickly got up from his bed and grabbed his backpack, which had weapons already in it from when he had packed it for just such an occasion. He slung it over his back, scribbled a quick note about what he had decided that he was going to do and left it on the bed, before running down to the kitchen. He had to get his strength up if he was going to do any damage at all on the superhumans, so he quickly ate some things and grabbed a bottle of blood to drink, before he went to one of the teleporter’s. He made up some excuse about a reason for him to go up to the surface and soon enough his request had been granted and he was teleported up above ground, his last thought in the underground layer being: I’m sorry, Mum.
Once the teleported had teleported back to the base, leaving him above ground, he quickly began to look around and pick up the scent of some superhumans. He quickly caught the scent of some of them and ran off in the direction of them. He snuck behind a building, peeking around the corner of it to glance at the superhumans, who clearly hadn’t noticed him yet. He took a deep breath to calm himself so he could concentrate, loading up on a bunch of weapons from his backpack, and finished the bottle of blood, before he began running as fast as possible towards them. He must have caught them off guard, because he was able to shoot one of them before they noticed him. He wasn’t sure if he had killed the superhuman or not, but he didn’t have time to stop and look.
He quickly whipped out a knife from where he’d had it hidden and immediately began to stab the superhuman in front of him wherever possible, although it did him little good, since his moves were easily thwarted by the superhuman, who had blocked him, and made the knife fly from his hands. He was about to just go all out and punch him like crazy when suddenly the ground beneath him began to quake, and the world began to spin around him. Unable to hold himself up due to the dizziness, he collapsed onto the ground, holding his head. It last for a moment and then suddenly it stopped. What the bloody hell was that?! He shakily got to his feet, only to be immediately knocked down again when he was forcefully punched by a charging superhuman. He was dazed by this, and in an incredible amount of pain, but found that he couldn’t get up. He watched as the superhuman approached him, an evil look in his eye, but noticed how everything seemed to be going blurry around him. Everything just kept going blurrier and black seemed to be encasing his vision and just as he saw a fist come at him, aimed for his head, the blurriness increased, and everything went black.
--
Kiara’d had this weird feeling in the pit of her stomach and her worry for Remiel had increased until she couldn’t take it anymore and decided to go check up on him. She hadn’t felt anything like this, but maybe it was just the nerves from how she had last seen Remiel. She walked up to his apartment and knocked on the door, waiting for him to answer. After several minutes and knocks later she decided to try her luck and see if the door was unlocked. To her surprise it was, so she turned the knob and slowly opened the door, expecting to see a depressed and emotionless looking Remiel on his bed, but that wasn’t the case. All she found was a note that was written in his handwriting. She shakily and slowly picked up the note, afraid to read it, but knew she had too all the same. She read the note multiple times before the fact that Remiel had basically been an idiot and when off to fight superhumans hit her, and boy did it hit her. Everything that had been going on around her and how she had been feeling immediately began pouring out of her as she sobbed into her hands. She didn’t know how long ago Remiel had left, or if he was still even…still… It hurt too much to even think about him not being alive that she couldn’t even finish that thought.
As she sobbed her heart out, feeling like she had failed as a mother, even if Remiel was technically an adult, even if he didn’t exactly look it, or act like it sometimes. Suddenly everything lurched around her and the ground shook, knocking her off the bed that she had been sitting on. She held her head as the world spun around her, and tried to get everything to stop spinning. It soon stopped and she had started to wipe the tears off of her face, wondering what the hell that had been all about. After a moment she felt everything shake again, but this time everything started to get blurry around her. The blurriness continued to grow and black began to grow around her vision, until she knew and could see no more.
--
Addison was pacing around in the infirmary, trying to figure out exactly why the five people on the beds in front of her seemed like they were in comas. She just didn’t understand it, they had no injuries that she could heal, she had already tried to do that, and they didn’t seem sick, so what could it be? She sighed as she finished up taking care of some things involving them, before going back to her desk and placing her head in her hands as she thought, trying to figure out what could possibly be wrong with them.

Ugh. What was wrong with her head? It felt like she'd been punched. Several times, by the way it throbbed.
"Healer? Healer, they just caught him! The guy that did this to them! I saw them lugging him past. I could've sworn they set out to get some lady named Aerynn, but I guess she wasn't the one doing it."
What? Who the hell was that, and what the hell were they blathering on about? Who did what to who? She strained to hear more, feeling oddly curious. It was the second time in so many minutes that she felt some other emotion besides listlessness.
She tried to open her eyes. They felt glued shut, caked shut. That was odd. She reached up to rub at them, feeling something tug at her arm. It was probably just string from her shirt. She wiped at her eyes, gunk crumbling away as she did. Ew.
Her blue orbs flickered open, then shut immediately. That hurt! Why on earth was there such a bright light? She hadn't left them all on, surely?
She opened her eyes again, this time at a slit. Where was she? This was definitely not her apartment. She'd painted her living room walls, for one. For another, she didn't own an IV stand. So that was what was tugging at her arm.
Wait...IV stand...white walls...why was she in the infirmary? She'd thought Eowyn said she wouldn't make her come here! Angel had died here, in this cold white place. Didn't she understand?
Sidonia sat up very suddenly, her head spinning. "Why am I here?" she asked harshly, glaring between a redhead she recognized as a hunter named Stacey-something and a healer she knew to be called Addison. She didn't even look at the beds on either side of her. If she had just glanced to the right, she would have seen two very familiar girls stirring.
“Whoa, easy, girl,” Stacey said, overly excited in Sid’s opinion. She held her hands up. “I’m just the messenger. There’s a rule about not shooting messengers, remember?”

Addison’s head shot up form her hands as she looked at the messenger who had brought her the news. She sighed in relief and managed a smile as she got up form her desk to walk over to the messenger. “That’s great news!” She looked at the five of them and noticed Sid had moved her hands to wipe at her eyes and her smile grew, because this meant that they’d all soon be awake and no longer in a coma-like state. Her smile fell slightly at Sid’s reaction after having woken up, but she stayed calm and explained the situation. ”Calm down, Sid. It’s alright now. The five of you had been in a weird coma-like state for some time now, but the man responsible for it has been caught and he was stopped from doing this all to you, so now you’ve all woken up again!” She hoped that Sid would calm down a little now, and not bite her head off. (XD)
As Addison spoke, Kiara began to stir as well, after having heard the voices around her. After a few tries she was able to open her eyes, only to snap them shut again with a slight groan at how bright the room was around her. She slowly sat up, keeping her eyes closed for the moment, but felt a bit dizzy as she did so. She waited for the dizziness to pass before slowly opening her eyes again, and let herself adjust to the light before speaking. “W-what happened and…where am I?” she asked to really no one imparticular, not bothering to look to the sides of her either.
Remiel had also started to hear voices, but he didn’t stir or make any movement to suggest that he could hear things around him. He felt rather sore from having lied on, well whatever it was he was lying on for so long. He had started to wake up after Addison had explained what was going on, so he didn’t know what was going on, but frankly, he could care less. He still felt miserable, and tired, and just plain worn out emotionally, and he didn’t feel like dealing with whoever was talking, so he simply laid there, trying to go back to sleep, hoping it would be a dreamless one

Coma-like state? Man doing this to them? What the hell was Addison going on about? Sid didn’t relax her expression. “Calm down? Calm down?!” she shrieked, her voice a thin, high squeak quite unlike her own. “I’m in the one place I swore I would never set foot again! My baby sister was murdered here! Murdered! Do you understand that concept? Do you?!” She didn’t realize she was crying now, her tears drifting down her cheeks in ones and twos. “And what the hell do you mean, a man was doing this to us? Who? Why? How?” It felt like they were deliberately withholding information. She returned her scowl to Stacey, who was the one with the most information, so she gathered. “Tell me!” she demanded when she didn’t get an answer immediately.
She would have gone on ranting, but when she heard Kiara’s voice, she turned her head to the left so fast that the room swirled about her as though she were in the middle of a whirlpool. She closed her eyes and lowered her head into her hands. “Kiara?” she asked, keeping her eyes covered. Her head hurt just a little less if she pressed her palms into her eyeballs, as she was doing now.
Stacey’s mouth was hanging open as though shocked, though really she was trying to remember exactly what she had heard from the gossips, as the official news was lacking. “You want answers? So do the rest of us,” she retorted to Sid, her biting, tough aboveground tone creeping into her voice. Her tone softened a little – she realized she was probably scaring the brunette. “Here are the facts as I know them. You’re in the infirmary. A man whose name I do not know was being taken in for questioning. He was reportedly the cause of the coma the five of you were in. That’s all I know.” She turned to Addison. “I’ll go see if I can find more information. It looks like you’re going to need it.” She darted away.
For the moment, the two in the beds to the right of Sid were silent but for breathing.

Addison’s expression became a confused one at what Sid had said. Her baby sister hadn’t died. Angel was laying right on the bed next to her, if Sid had enough sense to look to the side of her anyways. “Murdered? What are you talking about, Angel’s right there on the bed to your right,” she said, rather confused, since she had no idea what had all gone on between them all during their comas. “And I don’t know who or why, but all I know is that you, Eowyn, Angel, Kiara, and Remiel all fell into a coma-like state at about the same time and are all waking up, or at least I think all of you,” she said as she before worriedly glancing at Remiel, who still had yet to actually open his eyes and wake up, well to Addison anyways. He was aware of some of what was going on, but not really paying attention, having been trying to go back to sleep. Addison decided that if he’d probably wake up in the next little bit, but decided if he didn’t then she was going to have to look him over to make sure he was alright.
After Addison and the messenger had spoken some more Kiara had relaxed just the tiniest bit, but her worry picked up right again at the mention that Remiel had been a part of well…all of this. She waited until the messenger had left before letting her worry show some. “Wait, Remiel? Remiel was a part of all this? Is he alright?!” she asked frantically, looking around her. The first thing she had noticed was that she saw Angel on one of the beds…and she was alive. Alive! She couldn’t believe it, but there she was only a little ways from her. She let out a huuuuuge sigh of relief before speaking, backing up what Addison had just said a moment ago. “It’s true Sid, she’s right there! Right next to you!” she said with a great amount of emotion in her voice, her eyes just tearing up slightly in happiness, before going back to her worrying about Remiel.

Sid's heart skipped a beat. Impossible. Angel was dead. Dead. She'd seen her broken body. She was dead. Why were they lying to her? Did they think she was about to commit suicide? Did they think she was going crazy? She knew she was going crazy. These were all delusions. None of these people were real. She had finally gone off the deep end. She belonged in a padded cell.
A rustle of sheets sounded to her right, but she refused to uncover her eyes. It was all in her head. None of this was real. A sigh that almost sounded like a whisper. Her ears strained to understand it even as her mind blocked the message. Another sigh, this one like a gust of wind. Then – was that a cord being unplugged? Were those wheels squeaking across the floor? And…feet?
She felt her bed dimple under the weight of another person. Still she would not peek. She was so tempted, but she wouldn’t do it. Because to do so would be to accept their pretty lies.
Warm hands wrapped around her wrists and tugged. She put up only a token resistance. Her hands came away from her eyes. But she wouldn’t look up. So those familiar callused hands grabbed her chin and forced it up. And there she was, almost a mirror image of Sid herself. Slowly, unbelievingly, Sid put up a hand to touch her cheek. “Angel?” she whispered, as though she needed to say her name to make her real.
“Who do you think?” Angel Aphrodite Eve answered with that familiar sarcastic tilt to her mouth. And then she burst into tears and flung her arms around Sid, IV lines and all.
“Took her long enough, didn’t it?” Eowyn inquired. She was lying on her side in bed, grinning. She glanced at Remiel. “Now to get him to open his damn eyes.”

Kiara, who was feeling all right now and not so out of it, carefully removed herself from the wires attached to her and went over quickly to wrap her arms in a hug around Sid and Angel, crying as well. She was so, so grateful and relieved and ecstatic to see her alive. "I'm so glad your alright," she said in an emotional tone.
After a moment though her happiness was blocked by another worry and she released everyone in the hug. She quickly made her way over to Remiel and brushed strands of hair away from his forehead, leaning down to speak to him, hoping to get through to him. She knew how torn up and depressed he had been. "Remiel? I need you to open your eyes and wake up. Everything's alright now, none of that actually happened. Angel's here and alive. You need to wake up." She then stood up and watched him for a few minutes at least, but nothing changed, and now Kiara was really getting worried. "Why won't he wake up?" she asked worriedly to no one in particular.
Remiel meanwhile heard everything his mother had said, but he hadn't really understood it. He was lost in his sadness and depression, so the words didn't really get through to him. Frankly, he just wished everyone would leave him the hell alone and leave him to his misery, because nothing that anyone said or did was going to make a difference. At least that's what he thought for now anyways.

Warm and comforted, comforting and warming, Angel hardly registered anything else. But when Kiara left them, she raised her head to see why she was leaving so soon. She felt like she would never be able to release Sid, her sister, her mother, her favorite aunt. She blinked through the film of tears, then rubbed her eyes on Sid’s shoulder. Turning her head again, she saw that Remiel lay as though comatose. He was the one who looked dead, not her. If his chest hadn’t been rising and falling, she would have wondered. She detangled herself from Sid and got up. Being a healer, she didn’t even think to take the IV out. What if she really needed the nutrients? She tugged the rolly thing with her over to the last bed in the line. She heard Eowyn and Sid get up behind her, but she didn’t turn to look. Her eyes were on Remiel.
“I don’t know,” she replied to Kiara, worried. She took Remiel’s hand in hers and closed her eyes. Her ability felt weak and floppy, like overcooked noodles, but she could at least tell nothing was physically wrong with him. She opened her eyes and leaned over him. “Come, little WemWem,” she said, trying to get a smile out of him. “Open those pearly green eyes.” She waited a moment. Why wouldn’t he wake up? She could understand him not opening up to his mother, but not to her! They were best friends, they had known each other for most of their lives. And yet he wouldn’t wake up for her! “Remiel Erik Johanson,” she growled. “Wake up!” She hadn’t even noticed how close their faces had gotten in her urgency. But now she did. She fingered a scar here and there. “For me?” she whispered. And then she kissed him.

Kiara backed up from Remiel to give Angel space while she tried to either wake him up or figure out what was wrong. She hoped that whatever Angel ended up doing worked. She watched and listened as Angel spoke to him, waiting and hoping for some kinda of reaction from him. When there was none at first, she began to feel a little hopeless and all her worry returned. When she saw what Angel did next after shouting at him to wake up, she would have reacted gleefully to it, had the circumstances been a little better.
Remiel suddenly began to hear Angel's voice in, what he thought must be his head, even though it was actually happening. At first the voice was teasing, and somewhat warm to him, and he clung to it in his mind, making sure never to forget it. It sounded so real and...really close. Like she was actually right next to him. When she shouted at him a little he couldn't help but to flinch a little in his mind. He was about to go on imagining things in his mind to keep her voice there, when suddenly he felt something new going on. He felt someone kissing him and this sensation, still thinking it was all in his mind, felt amazing and so...real. His lips warmed at the touch of what he was imagining in his mind, Angel's, and he couldn't help but to return the kiss. He was freaking out slightly, since his mind seemed to be very convincing...a little too convincing. He thought he'd gone over the edge of his sanity now, but something caught his attention, which made it seem like maybe this was actually real. He could smell her scent from all around him and this intrigued him, since he never usually imagined scents in his head. Curiosity getting to him he finally attempted to open his eyes to see what was going on. It took a few tries, but he was finally able to open them, although his awakening was not nearly as bright as everyone else's, since Angel was blocking the bright light.
He still had to adjust to the light, since he'd been "asleep" for quite some time now, but was surprised by what he saw in front of him. It was in fact Angel who he'd just been kissing back. "Angel?" he questioned, having broken the kiss in the process of speaking. He didn't care how or what had happened because Angel was alive, and that was all that mattered at the current moment. Suddenly without any warning he yanked her, gently, down so she was sitting on the bed flung his arms around her in a giant hug and clung to her, in his mind refusing to ever let go again, and buried his face in the crook of her neck, crying silent tears of joy that she was alright and that all that horrible stuff had never happened.

Deep blue met palest green, and so the ocean and the earth were created. They were like two halves of a whole, born to complement each other. White teeth flashed from behind wet lips. “Yes,” she answered simply when he said her name. And then they clung to each other, and rain fell on the earth, and for that moment the world was right again. It didn’t matter that there were superhumans ready to kill them, it didn’t matter that everyone had thought her dead for weeks now. Nothing mattered except Remiel and Angel.
Sid turned her back on the scene. It felt intrusive to watch. It was a private hug, something only those two could really understand. “We were right,” she informed Kiara smugly, offering her hand up to her.
Eowyn cleared her throat. “Who’s betting they’ll be married by this time next year?”

Kiara also turned her back away from them, also feeling like she was intruding. She looked at Sid with a full smile, able to because everything was right and good again. She high-dived Sid and nodded. "Of course we were. We can just see these sorts of things," she said with a slight laugh. At Eowyn's comment she laughed a tad again and nodded in agreement with her, thinking that it would happen eventually.
Remiel meanwhile was so caught up in his reunion with Angel that he didn't hear a word that was said in the room, since all his focus was on Angel and how she was here, alive and well. He clung to her for a moment more, still having felt sorta dizzy, before pulling his head back to look at her, his eyes showing just how relieved and happy he was. He brought up one of his hands brushed the edge of his finger against her cheek before cupping her face with that hand as he looked at her. "I'm so glad that you're alright and not...and not..." he couldn't even say the word that he'd been about to use.

Angel had heard exactly what the other three were talking about and she glared at their backs, about to snap out some heated comment about how that was really none of their business. But Remiel caught her attention again with his finger trailing along her cheek. She shivered pleasurably under his touch and flushed. It felt so good to be touched, to touch in return. She couldn't hug or slap or kiss or even tug on arms when she had been a ghost in their dream. All she had been able to do was shout words that were not heard, watch helplessly. "Dead," she finished for him bluntly. "I was dead, Remiel, for all that it was apparently just a very elaborate dream. I saw everything as a ghost." She gave him a hard, knowing look that quickly softened. She didn’t want to argue right after she’d just risen from the dead. "It doesn't matter now, though. We're safe." She dried his cheeks with the sleeve of her nightgown.
"That’s cause we’ve known them since they were in diapers,” Sid smirked at Kiara. “You're on," she grinned to Eowyn. She patted herself, thinking she had pockets. When she looked down, she realized she was wearing nothing but a nightgown. So she glanced around for something else to use and snatched up an empty coffee cup. "One coffee cup on..." She searched her memory. What was the date?
Eowyn raised her eyebrows. “No thanks. I have cleaner cups than that,” she said very drily. She meandered over to Addison. “Want to bet?” she offered, thinking the healer had to have more than just a disgusting plastic cup for currency.

Remiel noticed her cheeks flushing red and smiled softly at her, not taking his eyes off of her. In his mind, he was thinking about never leaving her side again…ever. Even though Angel would probably get sick of him following her around after a while. (XD) He flinched slightly when she said the word he hadn’t been able to and a guilty look appeared in his eyes and expression when she mentioned having seen everything, but was thankful for now that she didn’t push that subject. He knew he wasn’t off the hook though, and that later she’d probably bring it up again.
His eyes closed as Angel dried the tears from his cheeks, a smile appearing on his face again. He nodded at what she said, suddenly finding himself unable to speak, or find the words to anyways. Until now he hadn’t really had a chance to think about what had just happened, but now that he could concentrate, his mind was on what had happened to wake him up and he still had trouble believing that it had actually happened, since she had seemed so angry with him before all this happened when he had accidentally kissed her. He figured he should say something, but he just couldn’t find the words still. A lot had happened and his mind was sort of reeling.
Kiara smiled at what Sid said, suddenly thinking about the good old days. “Remember the time when they were little and they dressed up together?” As she asked this to Sid, in her mind she was picturing the scene that had been in front of her oh so many years ago. The memory where Angel had been in a white dress and Remiel in a suit, and just how cute they had looked together.
Addison had also turned her back on Remiel and Angel, seeing as it seemed like nothing was wrong with Remiel, and listened in on the conversation. She’d been working around here long enough to notice how many time Remiel had come around the infirmary, just to see Angel, and it had been clear to her for a while that there was obviously something more to them then just friendship, even if it had been hidden way, deep down for a while. She thought for a moment before nodding “I’m in. What are the terms?”

“I’ve got twenty bucks that say they’re husband and wife by April 5, 2123,” Eowyn said. “Not a day after. Do we have a deal?” She held her hand out to shake. Why was it moving? She wasn’t moving her tendons. She swayed from one foot to the other and hastily grabbed the edge of Addison’s desk, feeling like she might keel over.
“There were a lot of times,” Sid said absently to Kiara, rubbing her head. She sat on the bed Kiara had occupied only minutes before and put her head in her hands. “Addy,” she called. “When you’re done betting on my sister’s future, do you have something for mammoth headaches? I feel like a Native American wardrum is being played on my forehead.” She rubbed her thumbs over her temples, her eyes closed. She had been able to ignore the headache and dizziness for a few minutes, but now it was just too much. She felt her gorge rising and swallowed hard.
Angel had nothing else to say, so she simply rested her head on his shoulder, feeling blissfully happy. She didn’t dare question why she was allowed to be alive now, when she remembered so clearly that moment when she could no longer breath. From what she’d heard, it sounded like it was a hallucination or something similar, and that was great, but just that news wouldn’t delete the memory from her head. She closed her eyes against the suddenly annoying lights, feeling her heart quickening, though she didn’t know why. Maybe she was just more aware of it, because it was so deliciously there. But somehow her heart was in her head as well, and it was thumping just as insistently up there as in her chest. She groaned in pain. Now she knew why hearts shouldn’t be in heads.
