Remiel had been unconscious for quite some time now. He wasn’t sure how long it had been, seeing as he had no way to tell the time. To him it could have been seconds, minutes…days…months…he really had no way to figure this out. He felt safe in the blackness and didn’t see a reason to wake up, or even try to yet. He didn’t even remember the reason why he was like this in the first place. He had tried, but this information seemed to evade him for now.
A while later he began to remember some of what had happened. He remembered being taken down by the superhuman, but nothing else after that because his head had been pounding. He had no idea where he was and he decided to find out. He slowly but surely came back around, but he didn’t open his eyes yet, seeing as soon as he had woken up the pain in his head had returned. He groaned slightly and squeezed his eyes shut tighter, trying to block out the light from the room. He used his other senses to try and get a feel of where he was. He could feel that he was on a bed, and he could hear voices around him, but they were faint and he couldn’t decipher what they were saying. After a moment, when someone had turned off the lights when they noticed that the lights were bothering him, he slowly opened his eyes, wanting to know where he was, and looked around. He noticed that he was in the spare bedroom that his parents had in their apartment and he felt a tad guilty, knowing he at least made his mother most likely worried sick about him.
He closed his eyes when he felt his head begin to pound a bit more and groaned slightly. "Oh god does my head hurt," he complained, his voice a little hoarse from not using it for so long.

(Psst, you forgot to put tags ) Two of the voices Remiel was hearing were Angel and a healer-woman named Sierra Alabaster, standing on either side of the bed. “Why didn't you tell me you could heal?” Sierra grumbled. "Because I don't heal the way you do," Angel replied coolly. "After healing something big like this, I go into a coma." As she spoke, she took one of Remiel's hands in her own, watching as his eyes fluttered open. She smiled softly at him. “Don’t worry, Rem, I’m going to make the pain go away,” she promised. She was already soothing some of the ache, which was why he was even awake. "A coma?!" the healer sputtered. "Why are you even doing this then?" "Because without me you'll lose most of your energy and won't be able to help anyone else, am I right?" The woman grudgingly nodded. "But at least I don't go into comas," she muttered. "Oh relax. I'll wake up soon enough," Angel said with a roll of her eyes. "Ready?" She placed her hands an inch away from Remiel's temples. She wanted to start before Remiel tried to stop her. Sierra hesitated for a moment, during which Angel glared at her. “Ready,” she finally said, her hands touching Remiel's stomach. Angel clasped her friend's head between her palms and closed her eyes. Pale green sparks, the exact color of Remiel's eyes, danced around her fingers and sank into his temples. One of them flared right before his eye before sinking into it. After a few seconds, during which she caressed his head gently, the flow of sparks ceased. Without opening her eyes, she moved her hands down to one of his legs. The sparks sprang into being again, as though they had never disappeared. Beside her, her fellow healer watched Angel's work out of the corner of her eye even as she focused her own energies on Remiel's other leg. At last, the dancing lights stopped coming. Angel swayed on the spot, her eyes still closed. The other healer, having just finished herself, caught Angel before she could collapse. Sid entered from the other room and helped Sierra settle Angel in next to Remiel on the king-sized mattress. “Has she done this stupid stunt before?” Sierra asked Sid. “Oh yeah, tons of times,” Sid said with a shrug. “She always wakes up, though. We think she faints because she uses some of her life-force when she heals.” “I don’t like your casual tone,” Sierra growled. “Oh, don’t get all huffy with me. I raised her, I know what her limits are, maybe even better than she does. And trust me, she will be fine.” “I hope you’re right.” “Oh, I am,” Sid smiled, passing the healer a cup of blood from the nightstand. She watched Remiel. “Feeling better now?” she asked him, even though she knew the answer. His mangled body was now whole and unbroken.

Remiel looked up at Angel when he heard her speak, finally figuring out who was here with him. He frowned when she said that shed make the pain gonaway, because he knew what that would entail. He shook his head in an attempt to try and stop her. "No, don't Angel, I'll be fine withou-" he was cut off when she began healing him. Since she started there was no way that she would stop now, so he simply sighed in frustration and closed his eyes, feeling himself being healed by her.
Once she had finished healing him and passed out he sat up and almost started to get up to help put her on the bed, but that's when Sid entered the room and he decided that Angel would be well taken care of. He turned on his side so he could look at her, feeling bad and a bit guilty that he hadn't been able to stop her. He would have been fine eventually so this wasn't really needed. "Yeah...of course I am. I'm grateful, but I wish she hadn't done it..." he said in a soft tone, looking at Angel as he spoke, even though Sid had been the one to ask him the question. He slowly reached out a hand and lightly brushed away some of Angel's hair that had fallen in front of her face. He really cared about her and was still worried, even if Sid had said that Angel would be fine.

"Yes, it was a foolish thing to do," Sierra grouched, checking Angel's pulse. "But what's done is done, and since she has apparently done this before and survived, I see no need to linger." She turned her scowl on Sid, who simply smiled back. "In the future, it would be wise if this girl refrains from overextending herself. We don't need any more invalids than we already have."
"Go ahead and try to stop her," Sid replied. "I think you'll find she's a lot tougher than she looks." She moved around Sierra to pull the covers up to Angel's chin. Seeing Remiel still looking at her, she smiled mischievously. "Are you planning to stare at her all day? I can bring your food in here so your viewing is uninterrupted."
Muttering to herself, Sierra left.

Remiel hadn't even noticed the conversation on around him, seeing as all his attention was on Angel at the moment. He was glad that he'd been able to stop her from getting hurt. He'd do what he did then anyday if that was what it took to keep her safe. He was jolted out of his staring at Angel and his thoughts when he heard Sid speak to him and only just noticed now that she had pulled the covers up on Angel. He shook his head slightly to get his thoughts back to the present and looked over at Sid, an embarassed look on his face at being caught staring at Angel. "No...no, I should prolly get up and go do something. I'm sure Angel wouldn't want me to be a lazy bum and stay in bed all day," he said with a slight chuckle, glancing over at Angel with a small smile on his face, before looking back over at Sid.

"I don't know," Sid replied, now positively grinning. "I don't think she would mind too much if you stayed in bed with her." She suggestively winked at him. "But I do know your mom would have something to say about that, particularly as she's been fretting herself into a frenzy since your team brought you here. Which was what, twenty minutes ago? You better go reassure her before she paces a hole in the floor." All this was said in a loud teasing tone for Kiara's benefit as well as Remiel's.
"Oh, by the way," she added as an afterthought. "Your mission was mostly successful. Eowyn said most of the vials in Angel's pack survived. Maybe in the future we should put you in armor made of backpack fabric."

Remiel felt extremely embarrassed at what Sid had just said to him, not believing that she had actually just said that, not being able to stop the small and barely noticeable blush that spread across his cheeks. He was saved from having to answer to that, when his mother suddenly appeared in the doorway. Kiara had been about getting Remiel a mug with some blood in it, even though it wasn’t needed now. She had just needed something to do to keep herself busy and from pacing a hole into the floor.
Once Kiara saw that Remiel was indeed awake and well again she rushed over to where he was sitting up in the bed and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly as if she would never again let go. Remiel gently pat her back in a reassuring way while Kiara was rambling on about things such as: “What were you thinking?!” and “You need to be more careful!” and “Do you know how worried I was?! You could have gotten killed!” and so on and so forth. Eventually Remiel sighed, getting kind of annoyed by all the mothering she was doing, since he clearly was no longer a child. “Mum, I’m fine. Calm down. I understand you were worried, but I’m fine…you dun need to scold me for doing something that I needed to do to keep Angel safe.” After a bit more reassuring on Remiel’s part, Kiara was finally convinced. She handed Remiel the mug of blood she had brought him before kissing the top of his head and leaving the room to go and tell Drake what had all went on in the past few moments.
Remiel sighed slightly and leaned back against the headboard, suddenly feeling a little tired again, well more emotionally than physically anyways. He sipped at the mug his mother had given him and then looked to Sid to respond to that last thing she said before his mother had interrupted. “Hey, I’m not that vulnerable…just in-between pushing Angel out of the way and running I didn’t have any time to defend myself,” he said, his tone light, not sounding like he was defending himself, but simply stating a fact.

“Just as I thought,” Sid smirked at Remiel’s blush. She watched Kiara greeting her son, laughing at the look on Remiel’s face. “Oh, don’t worry, I know you’re perfectly capable,” she replied, waving his explanation off. “Accidents happen. Eowyn said you two definitely show promise. I trust her opinion. Eowyn’s one of the best fighters I know.”

Remiel chose not to reply to Sid's response to the staying in berthing, although he didn't seem like he'd be getting out of bed anyways. He actually looked a little tired and definately lazy. He smiled and relaxed a bit when he heard what Sid said about his and Angel's fighting skills. "Well that's good to know, and yeah, she is an excellant fighter," he agreed with a nod, talking about Eowyn. He sipped at the blood in his mug while he waited for Sid's response.

(Twenty-four hours later)
Angel had been almost as still as a statue since she had collapsed after healing Remiel. If she hadn’t been breathing and her heart hadn’t been beating, she could’ve been mistaken for being dead. Of course, she wasn’t dead. She was just asleep.
She rolled over, and feeling something warm lying next to her, frowned, her eyes still closed. “Patches, get off,” she mumbled, thinking the long-dead cat was lying on her bed, as she had sometimes done all those years ago. She shoved lightly at the warm something, mistaking curly hair for fur. “I don’t want to feed you. Go get Eva or someone to do it.”

Remiel had fallen asleep while waiting for Angel to wake up, deciding that he didn’t want to get outta bed and was too lazy. He hadn’t meant to fall asleep, but he was kinda tired out emotionally and in other ways as well, and the fact that Angel had been sleeping for a long time too. He had always been a light sleeper so he woke up and opened his eyes when he felt someone moving on the bed. She smiled, a bit tiredly since he had just woken up, when he saw Angel at least moving, and also talking in her sleep. He chuckled a bit as he listened to what she was mumbling and his expression changed to o.O when she called him patches and shoved at his head, therefore making his curly hair quite messy now. Huh, guess I’m a cat now... He chuckled at this thought. “Uhm…meow? And who says I’m hungry...maybe I just want some attention…” he said before comically nuzzling the top of his head against her hand like a cat, doing his best not to laugh to loud. He wasn’t sure if she would have heard him, but it was rather funny and worth a shot if she was able to hear him.

Angel opened her eyes when, instead of hearing the long-since-dead cat hissing, she heard a familiar voice. “Oh, it’s you,” she smiled, not quite awake enough to be amused by his antics. She ran her fingers through his hair, making it stand on end all the more. “Well, you may not be hungry, but I am,” she told him after a few minutes, sitting up slowly. The world spun around her a bit before settling. “Starving actually.”

Remiel hadn't exactly gotten the reaction out of Angel that he'd hoped for, but he figured she wasn't totally awake yet. He chuckled lightly when she messed up his hair and saw her sit up, hearing her say she was hungry. He quickly sat up and looked at her. He had never said he wasn't hungry before, but now that she mentioned it again, he realized he was hungry. Really hungry in fact. "Hmm...I'll go make us something to eat then, so you can stay here," he said with a smile, having noticed how slowly she had sat up. If she wasn't totally back to normal yet he didn't want her doing anything that could make it worse.
He ruffled her hair slightly with a smirk before getting out of bed and blurring to the kitchen before Angel could say anything about what he just did, laughing slightly. When he made it to the kitchen he went to the fridge and opened the freezer and took out a pizza, since that was something that both he and Angel liked, and put it in the oven.
After a while the timer dinged and he took it out the pizza and cut it into slices. He then grabbed the pizza, having left the cardboard underneath it, and a mug of blood that he'd gotten for Angel while waiting for the pizza. He walked into the room, setting her mug of blood on the bedside table next to her, and tried his best to look like a waiter-like sort of person. "Dinnerrr is serrrved," he said, trying to make it sound like a French accent, but wasn't sure how well he'd done at it. He set the pizza in-between the on the bed and sat up against the headboard of the bed again with a grin, before picking up a piece of pizza and biting into it.
